Amy Yang claimed her 3rd LPGA Thailand title after beating MInjee Lee by 1 shot. Yang who also won the tournamnet in 2015 and 2017 got better throughout the week and fired a closing round 65 to hold of a charging Carlota Ciganda and Minjee Lee.

Lightning stopped play with a few holes to go and delayed play for up to an hour. However a nervous Yang held on. After play Yang from South Korea said "I was honestly very nervous, especially last three holes, It was a tough hole to finish. I was really telling myself just to be patient, do my best at the time."I tried to stay calm and stayed patient out there. I just enjoy coming here. I love the golf course, which is why I always play well here."

Minjee Lee who has got off to a slow start in the 2019 season had the chance to force a playoff if she made a 15-foot eagle putt on the 18th green, however, it slipped by and she had to settle for a runners up spot. Lee afterwards said "I really fought out there. I Just tried to make as many birdies as I could. Probably didn't play probably 15 and 16 the way I wanted to, but I think overall, I had a pretty solid performance."

Carlota Ciganda is a player on an amazing run of form at the moment on the LPGA. This result means she has now had 5 top ten finishes in her last 6 LPGA starts! After her round she said "I hit lots of greens, (was) hitting great shots, great numbers, and then today, the putting was hot," If she keeps playing like she is a victory should be on the cards very soon.
