Mi Jeong Jeon wins the Taiwan Women's Open

Mi Jeong Jeon of South Korea claimed the title at the Taiwan Women's Open this weekend. The win moved her up into the world's top 100 players. After winning 25 times on the Japan LPGA this was her first win on a KLPGA sanctioned event in almost 16 years!

The 37 year old claimed the first prize of $ 160,000 after winning by 1 shot from fellow South Korean Min Sun Kim and Pei-Ying Tsai of Taiwan.

World number 24 and last years Order of Merit winner on the KLPGA Hye Jin Choi (above) finished in 11th place, with teenager Arpichaya Yubol finished in T21st. Yubol, won 5 events in a row on the Thai LPGA last year and was on of our "10 to watch in 2019"

There were also a number of LET players who made the trip to Taiwan before the Australia events on the LET. Not many made an impact and it was Sarah Schober of Austria who finished highest in T21st.

Next Event: Technology Hope Tour-Liyi Station (23/1/19)
